Sliding Door Suppliers: How to Vet One
A factory in Foshan, 15 production lines, and doors built to your opening.
What to Check Before You Pick a Sliding Door Supplier
Search for sliding door suppliers and you'll get brand lists. Those lists won't tell you who welds the frame, who cuts the glass, or who answers when a panel arrives scratched. WANJIA Hiseng is a factory, not a trading desk. We're a subsidiary of Foshan WANJIA Window and Door Co., Ltd, registered in 2012, and we run our own 20,376 m² (219,325 sq ft) production facility with 15 production lines.
When you compare a sliding glass door manufacturer against a patio sliding door supplier, the paperwork matters more than the showroom. Ask for certificate numbers, not logos. The North American Fenestration Standard, published by AAMA, WDMA and CSA, is the document your inspector will point at. The sixth edition is AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-26, and earlier editions like A440-11 are still referenced on plenty of spec sheets. A supplier who can name the tested series behind a certificate is a supplier who knows their own product.
This page covers what we make, what we can prove, and what you should ask any supplier before you wire a deposit. It's written for builders, dealers and architects who order in containers, not single units, though homeowners doing due diligence will find the same checklist useful.
What We Supply
Four things buyers ask about first, answered without the sales gloss.
Sliding and Lifting Systems
The 170 series aluminum lifting and sliding door carries a 2.2 mm frame and 5+12A+5+12A+5 triple glass, with sound insulation above 30 dB. Narrow-frame sliding doors give you a Uw of 2.0 and Rw of 25 dB when glass and hardware are specified to match.
Aluminum-Clad Wood
6063-T5 aluminum outside, solid wood inside, American oak as standard. Hardware comes from ROTO, SIEGENIA or CMECH depending on the opening. A 304SS mesh screen is available if insects or security are a concern on the patio side.
Glass and Blinds
Tempered insulated glass is standard, Low-E and triple glazing are options. Built-in blinds, manual or electric, sit between the panes so they stay clean. Dimming glass is available on some configurations. Glass build-up changes the Uw, so specify it before you compare quotes.
Made to Your Opening
We build to your drawing or rough opening. Size, material, glass and hardware are all selected per order. The finished unit is normal for a custom frame and gives the installer room to shim and seal.

Two quotes for the same opening can differ by a factor of two, and the reason is usually buried in the glass. One supplier writes "double glazed" and the other writes 5+27A+5. Those are not the same door. Ask for the glass build-up in millimeters, the frame depth, the Uw and Rw of the finished unit, and the hardware brand and model. If a quote lists a Uw without naming the tested series, you can't verify it. The same goes for a certificate: ask for the number and the series it covers, then check the issuing body's database yourself.
The other half of the comparison is commercial. Ask whether the supplier owns the factory or brokers it, how many production lines they run, and who handles a damaged panel. Our minimum order is 2 square meters, sample orders are supported before bulk purchase, and lead time is usually 25-30 business days depending on design, materials and order volume. Payment runs by bank transfer or T/T under EXW, FOB or CIF terms. Doors ship in wooden boxes and wooden frames from Guangzhou, Foshan or Shenzhen port, with a tracking number sent after shipment.

Questions buyers ask
What is the average cost of a new sliding door?
There's no honest average, because price tracks size, glass, hardware and quantity. A narrow-frame slider with double glazing and Kinlong hardware sits at a very different number than a 170 series lifting door with triple glass and HOPPE handles. Ask any supplier to break the quote into frame, glass, hardware and packing lines so you can compare like for like.
What company makes the best sliding doors?
The supplier whose paperwork matches your project. Compare the ratings on the label, the tested series behind the certificate, the hardware brand, the glass build-up, the frame depth and the service terms, then decide. A brand name on a showroom wall tells you less than a certificate number you can look up in five minutes.
What are the typical prices for sliding doors?
Prices move with the same four variables everywhere: size, glass, hardware and order volume. We don't publish price lists because every unit is built to a rough opening. Send your opening measurements, opening type, glass preference, hardware preference and finish, and you'll get a quote within 3 hours on average.
How much should sliding doors cost?
A fair price covers a frame, glass and hardware that are all specified in writing. When one of those three is left vague, the number drops and the risk moves to you. Ask for the spec sheet, then compare it against the next quote line by line.
